On April 12, 2023, International IFPA, a subsidiary of Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS) took part in the “Technology Commercialization Reactor” dialogue platform for the integration of science into business, which was held in Astana and hosted by the Science Fund of Kazakhstan.
Scientists from Kazakhstan’s universities and research institutes presented scientific ideas and developments to business representatives and potential investors in projects, particularly in subsoil use, agro-industrial complex, food industry, medicine, construction, and tourism, in order to advance the commercialization of their projects in various markets. In this regard, IFPA pitched its platform as the potential for projects in the agri-food industry, as well as their expansion within OIC markets.
Over 100 attendees from science and business participated in the event, and keynote remarks were provided by H.E. Mr. Mohammed Rachid Maaninou of the Kingdom of Morocco, Mr. Kamil Akatov, Vice Minister of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan, and Mr. Abdilda Shamenov, Chairman of the Science Fund of Kazakhstan. Along with IFPA, StartX (USA), the China Center for Technology Transfer of the SCO Member States (PRC), the European Union Framework Program for Investment in Science and Innovation Horizon Europe, and the Skolkovo Agrotech Hub of the Skolkovo Foundation participated in a panel discussion about opportunities to enter international markets.
