International IFPA and Farmers Association of Kazakhstan signed Membership Agreement

           On June 16, 2021, the International Islamic Food Processing Association (“IFPA”) held a face-to-face meeting with the representatives of the Farmers Association of Kazakhstan (“the Association). The parties during the last online meeting widely discussed prospects of cooperation and agreed to sign a mutual agreement to further advance bilateral cooperation. During the meeting, H.E. Sheikh Bilal Khan, Director General and CEO of IFPA, and Mr. Dairabayev Zhiguli, the Chairman of the Association signed an honorary membership agreement.

          The Association, as the main platform of farmers in Kazakhstan, is a valuable honorary member of IFPA, which will offer the opportunity to its enterprises to have access to all privileges and benefits of IFPA and the eligibility to receive IFPA’s special services in utilizing Islamic investments and financing instruments. Another IFPA’s the valuable contribution will be in providing technical assistance to increase the the volume of exports of the farmers with reaching 57 member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

          After the signing ceremony, the parties expressed commitment to enhance the level of cooperation with anticipated fruitful outcomes in new export markets for the continued stability and sustainable development of farmers’ enterprises, especially the SME subsector which is underserved.
