On October 5-6, an IOFS subsidiary, International IFPA attended the annual event Future Food Forum in Dubai, UAE. The Future Food Forum, with the participation of ministers, decision-makers, opinion leaders, and experts, created a dialogue between government and industry players on such important issues of today and the future as food security and sustainable growth of the food sector. The Forum had an impact on changing the minds of today’s food industry players and promoted the creation of the relevant concept of future food in the GCC. The forum attracted more than 700 visitors and had more than 40 speakers each day.  International IFPA was represented by its Chairman and DG of IOFS, H.E. Mr. Yerlan A. Baidaulet, and the Head of International Memberships, Ms. Gulsum Kenenbayeva.Â
During the Forum, H.E. Yerlan A. Baidaulet, accompanied by the Consul General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, H.E. Rauan Jumabek, and Partner of DinarStandard, H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ali, conducted a productive meeting with the Deputy Minister of Climate Change & Environment, H.E. Eng. Mahammed Mousa Alameeri. H.E. Yerlan A. Baidaulet presented five main pillars of IOFS activity and emphasized the need for the deepening of the current cooperation with the Ministry on food security education, food security governance, and co-programs for Africa.
H.E. Yerlan A. Baidaulet had an important bilateral meeting with the Chairman of the Food & Beverage Manufacturers Group, H.E. Mr. Saleh Lootah on future IFPA leadership and strategy, and agreed to conduct postponed in Tunis IFPA Forum on November 10 in Dubai, UAE.
The other meeting was with FoodTech Valley management, where parties agreed to sign an MoU on cooperation in developing sustainability, innovation, and common solutions for industry and others.
IFPA had fruitful B2B meetings with food sector entities to enhance cooperation through IFPA’s platform. These one-to-one meetings were conducted with the heads of companies such as IFFCO, Tate & Lyle, MEFOSA, Raqam, Yokogawa, Emirates Development Bank, Spirax, Hayatna, COTECNA, Arla, United Foods, SGS, Abu Dhabi Food Hub – KEZAD, Emirates Macaroni Factory, Al-Futtaim logistics, Hunter Foods, and many others.
